Welcome to the world of the Arredamenti Piani Company that is the natural follow-on from a family company tradition operating in the wood sector since 1912, thanks to the pioneering work of Mario Piani who started a sawmill for cutting timber and planks with a related timber trade. To this there was added in the ‘20s and then the ‘30s the production of agricultural barns, then beams for dwellings from which arose the furniture production for them. Immediately after World War II, thanks to the experience gained from supplying the Anglo-American forces, Renato Piani, son of Mario, started production firstly of refrigerated cabinets, then of counters with the fridge unit incorporated, for the purpose of completely furnishing locations like bars, restaurants and hotels that were developing with tourism. To the simple woodwork was added steelwork, glass and refrigeration work. Also, the design task was a strong impulse to improve the quality of the nascent “turnkey” work.
